Learn a little, read a little...
Today I learned two great new words while reading
an article in the Washington Post.
The words are:
Gaffe: a clumsy social error.
Hollow: Without substance or character.
The article itself was also quite a
learning piece. It tells the story of the idiot candidate running for president
in Mexico City, representing the
Institutional Revolutionary Party, (PRI) and whom was unable to name three books that had
influenced him in his life.
This happened
during a book fair in Guadalajara and Enrique Peña Nieto was only able to
correctly name one book he has read “parts of” - the Bible.
Oh yes, he did.
People keep talking of the PRI’s come-back and Peña Nieto is the “hope” of our former
ruling party to return to the presidency it held for 71 years without
interruption - that is before they lost the 2000 elections to Vicente Fox - from
the PAN's party.
So.
Really?
This moron?
Hope?
Peña Nieto is married to “La Gaviota” a
tacky Mexican soap opera actress who now dresses like a Carla Bruni wanna-be, he has a very stupid hairdo and uses way too much gel, he is also a mediocre public speaker and has no sense of humor whatsoever, so the description “telegenic
but hollow” doesn’t even begin to describe him.
Get the man a couple of books to read before
he starts trying to rule our country.
Asshole.
¿Será que cada país tiene el Presidente que se merece? Nosotros y nuestra cultura telenovelera Televisa ¿dónde quedó La región más Transparente, el México de Alfonso Reyes y de tantos otros? Pensar que fuimos hace no mucho, uno de los países vanguardistas de la cultura en América Latina. Es muy triste y como dicen por ahí: ahora nos reímos nosotros de Peña Nieto. Al rato, si nos dejamos, él se reirá de nosotros con la que nos va a ensartar.
